It's Iran. TIiA member Yvonne recently traveled there, and we are lucky enough, in this next session, to have her share her experiences and photos.

Christine's apartment building is a 2-3 min walk from LiuZhangLi MRT Station (on the brown line), on the same side of Keelung Rd. There's only 1 exit at this MRT station, so you can't get lost! After you register, you'll be sent the exact address...

Fair Trade event this Sat 12 May!
Hello Good People
There's no TIiA session this Sat because of the Mother's Day holiday...(Happy Mother's Day to all your mothers! I just tried to add a photo of a carnation here, but my computer skills are not up to speed, I'm afraid!) Our next session will be Sat May 26.
If you're looking for something interesting to do this Sat, here's a good idea :). I'm going to try to go. I just got this notice below from our Fair Trade coffee friend Mr Hsu.

協會將會持續推動公平貿易教育、開發公平貿易教材、推動國際接軌工作、引領台灣青年參與國際公平貿易事務與擴展公平貿易市場，讓更多貧窮國家的小農與生產者，也有經濟獨立、脫離接受救援的機會。而這一切都需要大家的小額捐款義助，透過您的小額捐款，讓協會的能量聚集起來，給貧窮國家弱勢的生產者與農民，也給我們自己，一個改變世界的可能。把台灣跟世界連結在一起，彼此關懷與分享。

2008年：生態綠創立，與多位公平貿易支持者合力規劃「小黑人要公平」記者會，呼籲社會各界關注公平貿易運動。
2009年：「生態綠」與一群支持公平貿易的夥伴們，站在台灣最高點台北101大樓觀景台，串連世界各個角落一起48小時瘋狂擊鼓接力，為世界敲響公平、正義的鼓聲。

Save Our Oceans Petition
Hello Good People
Remember when we played Fishbanks? (Well some people did--it's an environmental awareness game about fishing, highlighting the fact that the world is being overfished, ie the numbers of fish in the ocean are going down fast) Anyway, if you're concerned about fish, here's a good petition to sign:

還記得，3年前莫拉克颱風短短兩三天就把台灣一年份所需的雨量下完，這樣極端的氣候，大地無法負荷，帶走我們的人民，不停的雨，在我們臉上，衝擊我們台灣的土地。 全球暖化帶來的影響有氣候變遷、海洋酸化、糧食危機、海平面上升…
持續的溫度上升，原因來自大氣的溫室氣體持續增加，尤其是CO2不斷被排放到大氣中，根據學術報告大氣中的CO2濃度需小於350 ppm，才能延續地球未來，然而目前大氣CO2濃度是392 ppm，我們必須立即採取行動。這個世界的問題，看似又多又很龐雜。天啊!頭好痛，該怎麼辦?如果整個世界是個大機器，那麼我們每一個人都是個小齒輪，只要同心協力，一定可以推動更美好的未來，從了解到改變，從改變到行動 。
